I know who you are it's not hard to figure out. The only reason I addressed this is BC it's making you look like more of an idiot then it will ever make me look bad. But keep on doing you and I will continue to work on me. Remember god doesn't like ugly he won't be asking you about my sins so worry about yours 😉✌

The town board and trustees are too busy sucking each other off at the elks every night and then getting let go for DWIs.. anyone got stats on number of DUIs from elks vs number of DUIs from fat jakes? Oh that’s right it was easier to give the dwis to the non elites in this town. If your last name is Dumas you can leave any bar in town and drive wherever good to go… moes, elks, etc

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » VISITORS equals COVID
Everyone knew when visitation was allowed to go on at the state correctional facilities it would put the entire community at risk. Prior to the reinstitution of the prison visits Franklin County NY had one of the lowest Covid averages in the nation.... . now look at it. Cuomo banned it again when the numbers started coming in, but it was too late - the damage was done. MALONE — Franklin County officials reported 23 new positive COVID-19 cases, Saturday. According to Franklin County Manager Donna Kissane, there are five new recoveries and 636 people are listed as in quarantine or isolation. There are currently 346 active infections, according to county officials, including 190 active infections in Malone’s three state prisons. Franklin Correctional Facility has the most COVID-19 infections with 140, while Bare Hill Correctional Facility reports 45 positive COVID-19 cases, and Upstate Correctional is listed as having five positive cases of COVID-19.

I agree completely but if you complain to any of the agencies they will say that they are busting their butt, and that you are ungrateful. Unfortunately, substandard is the new norm nowadays.

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » Unplowed rds
How sad is it that the biggest part of our taxes is road maintenance and during a snow storm ar 11:30am still no plow. Bus drivers driving on unplowed roads with our kids. People still having to go to work.. I get it is hard to keep up with the snow when it's snowing so hard but you definitely can't when you're not out there. Also it's troubling to see the plow truck on weekends and holidays driving around when there is no storm. The plow is in the air and the sander off. I get it u want OT and money, how about getting it when there's a storm.. There's no reason for this and someone needs to address it.. we have a bunch of people on the malone town board maybe they could unite and figure it out?

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » Muscleman!
MALONE – Mike Fournier is preparing to go out in a blaze of flames. Fournier, local resident and owner of Freedom Fitness Club in Malone, has his eyes set on breaking the world record for lifting the most weight in his powerlifting class, the Men’s Professional Push-Pull 275-pound Masters Division (age group 55-59). It’s a record he almost broke without meaning to. On Dec. 12, with his combined total of 1, 005 pounds, (bench & deadlift) Fournier won the Metal Militia Powerlifting Federation World Championship. He went into the competition hoping to bench press 500 pounds and deadlift 500 pounds. He reached 500 pounds on his second rep in both categories each, not needing the third rep allowed to him. When Fournier hit his goal of a combined total 1, 005 pounds, he was unaware that he was just five pounds shy of hitting the world record for his division until a friend he trains with told him. “I told them I’m not taking my third lift, ” Fournier said. “I know I can deadlift more, and with only five pounds more, I’m going to do it again at the end of April. ” Before he chases the world record for his division, Fournier, 57, is taking much needed rest. Fresh off of competition, he can barely lift 150 pounds currently. Starting this February, Fournier will begin training by starting at roughly 200 pounds. It typically takes three months for Fournier to reach his peak for a competition. But like any athlete devoted to a sport, Fournier has made many sacrifices. He currently uses a knee brace, and also needs a knee replacement. Not to mention ligament issues in his ankle. Fournier is prepared to leave it all out there when it’s time to tack on another five pounds. “I figure if I break the record, I’ll wreck the rest of my knees. And if I don’t hit it, I’ll wreck them trying, ” Fournier said. “At that level, for five pounds, I’m not going to spend the rest of my life wondering, ‘What if? ’” World records are divided by age and categories. The current record – 1, 110 pounds – was set by Robert Cushman in 2019. He, like Fournier, is in the Metal Militia Federation. According to openpowerlifting. org, there are six different federations ranked in the top 11. Fournier and Cushman have a firm hold in the top two. “It’s pretty good that the two of us are Metal Militia, ” Fournier said. Battling arthritis and some ankle issues, Fournier attests that the only competition with the sport is one’s own body. And he’s preparing to put it all on the line one more time. “I’m going down to break the world record. That’s my goal, that’s my mindset, ” Fournier said. “Hopefully my body can take it, because I’ve been lifting weights for 45 years. When you do those kinds of numbers, it’s hard on the body. ” The next powerlift competition will take place late April at an undetermined location in the Glens Falls area. “If that ends my career that day, at least I could say I went out trying or I went out on top, ” Fournier said. “Checkered flag or crash. ”

I often watch the governor's press conferences and find him to be fair and common sense minded. The other day he even stated that he would not take a co-vid vaccine shot until everyone that was Black and Hispanic and was in his age group got one. Most politicians were the first in line to get vaccinated when this came out because they consider themselves to be of a higher value than everyone else.

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » Maroun got VACCINATED!
Dec 29, 2020 Aaron Cerbone and Elizabeth Izzo Staff Writers acerbone@adirondackdailyenterprise. com, eizzo@adirondackdailyenterprise. com Paul Maroun, a Tupper Lake volunteer firefighter, village mayor and Franklin County legislator, gets the first dose of his Moderna vaccination Monday as a member of the Tupper Lake Volunteer Fire Department. (Enterprise photo — Aaron Cerbone) SARANAC LAKE — Dozens of emergency medical service workers and first responders received their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine at Adirondack Medical Center’s in-house clinic over the weekend. Select EMS workers, firefighters and police officers are eligible for the vaccine in the first phase of the state’s distribution plan. In Franklin County, all first responders have been deemed eligible for a vaccine even if they don’t have EMS certification. That’s because in this rural county most first responders have direct contact with patients when they respond to calls for help, according to Franklin County Emergency Services Coordinator Ricky Provost. With recent shipments of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to AMC, Franklin County is sending these workers to get vaccinated. Jennie Frenette, a registered nurse at AMC, said the hospital received several hundred doses of vaccines, with around half set aside for hospital staff and residents, and the rest for other Phase 1 workers. According to Adirondack Health Spokesperson Matt Scollin, 212 “external stakeholders, ” or people outside of hospital staff, have been vaccinated at AMC so far, as of Monday evening. On Monday, Tupper Lake Mayor Paul Maroun — a member in the Tupper Lake Volunteer Fire Department and a Franklin County legislator — got his shot. “I’m not doing this as mayor, I’m doing it as a fireman, ” Maroun said. The state’s guidelines show that EMS-certified and direct care first-responders can get the vaccine. In rural counties like Franklin County, firefighters who aren’t EMS-certified often wear two hats, Provost said. Because they can also be performing EMS services, such as carrying injured individuals or driving an ambulance, he said they are eligible for vaccination. The county has been connecting hospitals with first-responders who register to get the vaccine. Frenette said the emergency medical service worker vaccine push has been “impossibly smooth. ” Nurse Michaele Dobson injected Maroun’s first dose of the Moderna vaccine on Monday afternoon. “So far I feel good, ” Maroun said after she was done. “I didn’t even know she did it. ” He is scheduled to return on Jan. 25 for his second dose of the vaccine. “By the way, my arm’s not even sore, ” he said two hours later. The clinical trials for both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine showed that some people experienced mild symptoms after getting vaccinated, such as headaches and body aches. Maroun said several members of the Tupper Lake Volunteer Fire Department and Tupper Lake Police Department have been vaccinated so far. As is customary for Maroun, he supplied the nursing staff with ample “Mayor Maroun” branded pens and flashlights.

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » Re: 154 active COVIDS
MALONE — Franklin County’s known active cases of COVID-19 has jumped to 187 infections, after 38 new cases were identified since Thursday, county officials said. The jump is in part due to 22 Department of Corrections and Community Supervision inmates testing positive, County Manager Donna Kissane said in a press release. There are currently a total of 684 county residents in quarantine. Since Thursday, 11 residents have recently recovered from the virus. In total, there have been eight deaths in the county and 669 cumulative cases since the beginning of the pandemic. The county’s positivity rate is 4. 58% with a 7-day rolling average of 4. 63%, state officials said Thursday. Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » Andrew Cuomo # 1
Ensuring Equal Justice for All Governor Cuomo has aggressively pushed smart and fair criminal justice policies to ensure New York State remains a national leader in progressive reform. These reforms to the criminal justice system have resulted in a drastic reduction in mass-incarceration, while simultaneously enhancing public safety. Since Governor Cuomo took office, New York State has closed 26 adult and juvenile detention facilities – more than any other administration in state history. These prison closures eliminated over 7, 000 beds resulting in an annual savings of over $200 million. Since Governor Cuomo took office in 2011, the prison population has decreased by nearly 12, 000 people – a 21% reduction. In fact, the current population is at its lowest level in thirty years and leads the nation with the lowest imprisonment rate of any large state. At the same time, New York State has remained the safest large state in the country with the lowest crime rate and incarceration rate among the most populous states. In 2017, reported index crime in the state reached an all-time low since reporting began in 1975. Under Governor Cuomo’s leadership, New York will continue to push progressive reforms to maintain New York’s status as the safest large state in the nation, without an unnecessary and counterproductive reliance on incarceration.

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » 154 active COVIDS
MALONE — Eighteen new positive cases since Sunday has brought the total amount of known positive cases in Franklin County to 154 active infections, county officials said. Twelve cases of the virus were recently resolved. Since the start of the pandemic, the county has reported eight deaths – the first occurring on Nov. 8. Alice Hyde spokesperson Phillip Rau said on Monday said six of the facilities residents have died from complications from the virus. The county’s positivity rate on Sunday came in at 2%, state officials said. The 7-day rolling average was 5. 42%. Currently, there are 655 residents who are listed as either quarantining or isolating. The cumulative amount of positive COVID-19 cases since the spring is suspected to be 584 infections, county officials said. This takes into account people who were not tested but may have exhibited COVID-19 symptoms. Barehill Correctional Facility on Monday reported 43 people are in isolation, while 225 people at the prison are in quarantine. Three people at Upstate Correctional Facility are reported to be in isolation.

Thank you, appreciate the information.

Malone Topix/Craigslist replacement » Re: Village
Ok billy boy, let's lay out some facts. We have a village Mayor Which is a part time position that she made full time, also a county legislator, made herself code officer, on the fair board, and now DPW supervisor. Why not get rid of the police chief and take that on as well. You can't say that anyone could do a proficient job when spread that thin. Now let's talk about the village office. They purchased a new one with no expense spared after selling the vacant building they owned while paying rent to be at the bank. The new building is three floors with a full basement, which half of isn't being used but has to be heated. The building was remodeled by a private contractor and all brand new furniture purchased. Meanwhile the public works employees have been without a facility for how long now? They are paying over a thousand dollars a month for the old Warehouse on college ave, the lighting had to be installed allong with the furnace. They go threw 200 gallons of fuel a week to heat it. The contracts are constantly being breeched. Instead of paying an employee, the street lights are being maintained by a private contractor. The sewage treatment plant is now being run by a outside company over a hundred grand, instead of paying an employee anymore. They are not training anyone to run the water treatment plant so I'm sure the same will happen there. This is just a few problems, without any tax base because of the hospital and all the property they own and rent, citizen advocate houses and facilities, churches, cemeteries, and the county fairgrounds being tax exempt who is going to foot the bill?

Malone went to hell decades ago. It has been overrun by social service recipients/drug zombies and it's only going to get worse. I'm happy to see someone who actually works, be rewarded for it. That is indeed a rare sight in this community.

Now The village Mayor took a 76, 000 dollar raise to be the DPW supervisor with no qualifications and without taking the civil service exam, after turning down qualified applicants!! Suppose you don't think this is a joke either do you "Bill on Duane". Can you say CONTROL FREAK!! Malone has gone to hell!

Franklin County Topix/Craigslist replacement » Can Malone Make It?
At any point in time will the people who run this town find the aspirations find ways to build us up. As in attracting more businesses that are not hotels motels or gas stations. We do have a fair amount of parking lots. Also abandoned building that could be renovated. When will the Flanagan hotel finally stop being an eye sore? It's getting worst by the day. How do we fix this.?

Franklin County Topix/Craigslist replacement » Economic relief.!!! Really
A long time ago Franklin County was given economic relief by Mr. Cuomo. He seen that this part of the state. Needed help. Thanks for the prisons. Yes the prisons bring in jobs for the locals. Cool. With a prison comes inmates. These inmates are from all around the state. And come to our once beautiful community in the far outreaches of New York with aspirations of making it big. That's big in the drug trade. Now our community is being over run with dangerous drugs. With that comes addiction arrests or even death. Now you may say well people who use drugs are addicted you'd be right. These prisons brought the majority of drugs here I know. Our youth infected. These city folks wouldn't be coming way up here just to live. no. they come because they find a local in the prisons and promise them all kinds of riches. Now if the prisons were to close it would make drug connections harder to get. And we could stop wasting valuable resources on public defenders rehab and put money back into this town. It looks rundown. make malone great again. Because that economic relief has came back to haunt us.

Franklin County Topix/Craigslist replacement » Falsely Accused. With a public defender
Take a moment to think of a person you love, know, met in passing or even heard of, that had been arrested for something they didn't do. That person obtaining a public defender. Only to have their lawyer practically beg n lie to them to take a deal to make their job easier. what if this person goes to trial? Does the public defenders office ever win a trial. If so what is the win / loss ratio? Probly not that successful. These good people, falsely accused slip into the Justice system who knows is they will ever get out. I think it's time that we citizens of malone take time to realize the injustices that occur in our town. Our tax dollars pay for not only these public pretenders, also these peoples stay in the county and state facilities. We as a community should be for the people. Help one another not put the innocent away cause they can't afford a lawyer. The process is broken and should be fixed. EVERYONE deserves a fair chance. Even the most vile of people.
